Proxima Centauri is the closest star to earth, obviously after our own sun, located about 4 light years away from us. Needless to say, we follow its news, and this is what we came across recently: The brightest flare ever detected, hundred times stronger than that of our sun has been recorded by scientists observing Proxima Centauri. This observation which was made on May 1, 2019, has been published on April 21, 2021 in The Astrophysical Journal Letters.
This magnitude of radioactive flares which emits constantly from Proxima Centauri makes the opportunity of any human life form very dim on the planets orbiting it.
We still look to our inspirational star and strive to live up to its name! And we pledge not to blast our dear clients with radioactive flares! ;-)
